Rankings and reviews bring homeowners to your door. These five decide how many of them you actually win, and how many come back to you instead of a stranger with a truck.
1. Google Local Services Ads ("Google Guaranteed")
What it is. Google's pay-per-lead ads for home-service companies. They can appear at the very top of the search results, above the regular ads and the map, with a badge that tells homeowners Google has screened the business. You pay for leads, not clicks.
Why it's worth it. It's the first thing many homeowners see when they search for a roofer, and the badge does the trust-building before you ever pick up the phone. Your license, insurance and reviews feed it, the same things we're already building.
What we do. Set up and verify the profile, keep your service area and hours right, watch which leads are real, and dispute the ones that aren't. The ad budget is yours and you set it.
2. Call back first
The plain truth. A homeowner with a leak calls two or three roofers. The one who calls back first often gets the appointment, because the homeowner wants the leak handled and stops calling once someone answers. Most lost jobs aren't lost on price; they're lost to a voicemail nobody returned until the next morning.
What we set up. A missed-call text that goes out the moment a call isn't answered ("Sorry we missed you. We'll call you back within 10 minutes."), plus the AI receptionist for nights and weekends. Cheap, quick to set up, and it starts saving jobs the first week.
3. Your past customers
Why it works. The roofs you put on 15 to 20 years ago are reaching replacement age, and those owners already know your name. They're the easiest jobs you'll ever win, and most roofers never ask.
What we set up. Your old customer list, cleaned up, and a once-a-year roof check offer by text, email or postcard. In Florida that pairs naturally with the 15-year roof rule: "Your roof is turning 15. Here's what your insurer may ask for."
4. Market every job site
Why it works. When a crew is on a roof, every neighbor on the street is watching. Many of their houses were built the same year, with roofs the same age.
What we set up. A yard sign at every job, door hangers for the houses on each side ("We're working on your neighbor's roof"), and a Facebook ad shown only to that neighborhood for two weeks. Each finished job also becomes a short video and a dated photo on your website.
5. Referral partners
Why it works. Home inspectors, insurance agents, real estate agents and property managers run into bad roofs every week. Each of them needs a roofer they can trust to show up and tell the truth.
What we set up. A simple partner page with a quick way to send you a referral, a thank-you routine that keeps partners sending, and a monthly note so you stay top of mind. One good inspector or agent can send more work than an ad.
Where to start
If you do only one this month, make it call back first: it's the cheapest and it saves jobs you've already paid to get. Then past customers, then job-site marketing. Local Services Ads and referral partners take a few weeks to build, and we set them up alongside.
No promises of a number of jobs: results depend on your market, your prices and your work. We report what each of these brings in, every month, so you can see which ones pay.
